Raw clay in the YOMYOM CERAMIC studio

From Clay to Table: The Beauty of Handmade Ceramics

There's a moment, just before a meal, when you set the table. You place the plates, arrange the bowls, maybe light a candle. It's a small act, but it matters. And when the plates on that table were made by hand, from raw earth, that moment carries a little more weight.

That's what YOMYOM CERAMIC is about.

It Starts with the Clay

Clay is ancient. Humble. It doesn't rush. And working with it by hand, rolling it out, pressing it, coaxing it into shape, asks you to slow down too.

At YOMYOM CERAMIC, every piece is built using a slab roller, molds, and handwork. Each technique chosen to serve the piece, never to rush it.

"For me, it always starts with the clay. I don't sketch designs in advance. I feel the material and let the piece tell me what it wants to become. Some days a bowl surprises me. That's the magic of working with your hands."

Fire Changes Everything

Once shaped, each piece is left to dry slowly, then sent into the kiln. What comes out the other side is something transformed. The soft becomes strong. The raw becomes refined. And the glaze, which looked one way going in, reveals its true colors only after the fire.

It's a little like life, really.

"I work with natural, earthy glazes. Warm creams and white shades, soft greys, sandy tones, deep blacks, rich bronzes, and touches of gold. Colors that feel like they belong to the earth, because they do. I want every piece to feel calm and grounded, like it's always been part of your home."

From the Studio to Your Table

When a YOMYOM CERAMIC piece arrives at your home, it brings something with it. The stillness of the studio. The warmth of the kiln. The care of the hands that shaped it. You might not think about all that when you're eating breakfast, but somewhere, quietly, you feel it.

Food tastes different on a plate that was made for it.

The Beauty of Not Being Perfect

No two YOMYOM CERAMIC pieces are identical. A slight variation in glaze, a gentle unevenness in the rim. These aren't mistakes. They're signatures.

"When someone tells me two of my plates aren't identical, I smile. That's exactly how it should be. You're not buying something off a factory line. You're taking home a piece of someone's time, focus, and care."

In a world full of things that look the same, there's something quietly powerful about owning something that is truly one of a kind.

Start Your Own Story

Whether you're building a full dinnerware set or simply adding one special bowl to your everyday life, each YOMYOM CERAMIC piece is made to be used, loved, and eventually passed down.

From clay to table. That's where the beauty lives.
